The first time I held a smartphone, I didn’t just see a device — I saw a gateway to possibilities. The way some apps made daily tasks feel smooth and intuitive instantly caught my attention. I began to wonder: Why do some experiences feel effortless while others frustrate us? That spark of curiosity quietly turned into a deep passion for designing better digital experiences.
I’m Md. Rifat Sarkar, a UI/UX Designer with over 4 years of experience in creating user-centered digital products. Based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, I specialize in translating complex ideas into intuitive, impactful, and visually compelling solutions that meet both user needs and business goals.
My journey into design began during my time at Jahangirnagar University, where I studied Geography & Environment. There, I developed a strong interest in human behavior — how people interact with systems, environments, and technology. That academic background shaped my perspective on user experience, giving me a strong foundation in empathy, research, and human-centered design thinking.
Since then, I’ve worked with global teams on products across various industries — from travel and culture to health and technology. My contributions to projects like izi.TRAVEL helped improve user satisfaction by 27%, supporting over a million downloads.
At WayToBook (London), I work remotely with a high-performing team, designing seamless booking journeys. My process includes research, wireframing, high-fidelity design, prototyping, and usability testing using Figma, backed by Agile/Scrum workflows.
Outside work, I’m passionate about sports — especially football and cricket — and exploring nature. Whether I’m hiking hills or relaxing by the sea, these moments fuel my creativity and clarity. I believe design is about more than looks — it’s about people, emotions, and creating experiences that matter.
